6×9 inches trim size, 2,512 pages (including 80 page color insert), 4/4 cover with embossing, foil stapling, and Spot UV

The gun was photographed by an outside hire. The author ask to stay away from the traditional bordering the gun inside a frame and let it bleed off the page. So with that idea in mind, I placed the gun bleeding off the page and played with the background. I created an engraved flower in the background, but wanted to pop the gun even more. Going back to what the author asked to stay away from, I thought this would be better design it include a framed art and have the gun rest over it. So I went away from not framing the gun, to adding a frame and have the gun overlay on it.
